why is la dispute conveying a message on hardcore?
I like La Dispute just as much as the next guy, but..
Why can’t La Dispute talk about hardcore? Does the kind of band they’re in have anything to do with the kind of music they like, or what speaks to them? If you think about it, hardcore is passion, joy, pain, and beauty, all in one aggressive sound. Think to how many kids were in tears, screaming, when LD played with A Willhelm Scream. I think this rules.
^^^^^ This. Why can’t they talk about it? Just because they’re not necessarily “hardcore” doesn’t mean that they don’t love it as much as any of us.
